How do I develop a photo?
Open the Lab tab, select a photo from your library, pick a film stock, and tap Develop. Watch the developing animation, then save to Photos or the in-app Lightbox.
What's included in the free version?
Three starter film stocks: Kodak Gold 200, Kodak Tri-X 400, and Fujifilm Disposable 400. All core features are free including adjustments, Lightbox, and the Science tab.
How do I unlock more stocks?
Tap any locked stock to see details and purchase it individually for $0.99. Or get the Full Lab bundle for $4.99 to unlock all 15 stocks plus any stocks we add in future updates.
I bought a stock but it's still locked.
Open the Lab tab, tap the gear icon in the top-right corner, and tap "Restore Purchases". If the problem persists, email us with your order number from Apple.
Why is Polaroid 600 cropping my photos?
Polaroid 600 shoots square format in real life. Before developing, you'll see a crop tool to frame your photo as a square, just like a real Polaroid.
Can I use Film Lab 35 offline?
You can develop, adjust, save, and browse your Lightbox offline because photo processing stays on your device. The Wall, Sign in with Apple, Community actions, purchases, and purchase restoration need a connection.
Will you add more film stocks?
Yes. If you bought the Full Lab bundle, you'll get any new stocks for free. Individual stock purchases do not include future additions.
Do you collect my data?
Photo developing and your Lightbox stay on your device. If you choose to use the Wall, Film Lab 35 stores your Community account identifier, handle, selected posts, captions, comments, votes, reports, and blocks so those features can work. We do not use ads, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking. See our privacy policy for details.
How does posting to the Wall work?
Posting requires Sign in with Apple, a public handle, and agreement to the Community Rules. Every photo is reviewed by a human before it becomes public, so approval can take up to a day.
How do I report or block someone?
Open the options menu on another person's post or comment, then choose Report or Block. You can review and unblock accounts from Settings under Community, then Blocked Users. For urgent safety concerns, email help@filmlab35.com.
How do I delete my Community account?
In Film Lab 35, open Settings, tap Delete Community Account, and confirm. This removes your handle, Community content, activity, uploaded media, and Film Lab 35 authentication account. It does not delete photos in your local Lightbox. You can separately remove Film Lab 35 under Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings. If deletion does not finish, retry while connected or email support.
