Film Lab 35 Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 11, 2026

Photo developing happens on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to use the Community features. If you post, your selected photo and Community activity are stored so the Wall can work.

Local Photo Processing

Photos selected for developing are processed locally. Your source photos, local adjustments, and Lightbox stay on your device unless you deliberately select a developed photo to post to the Wall. On-device scene analysis is not sent to us.

Community Data We Collect

If you browse the Wall without signing in, you do not create a Community account. If you sign in or interact, we collect the information needed to operate and protect the Community:

Your handle, approved posts, captions, stock labels, and comments are public on the Wall. Votes affect public totals. Pending or rejected submissions, individual votes, reports, and blocks are limited to the account holder, moderators, or service operations as appropriate.

Sign in with Apple

Posting and other Community actions use Sign in with Apple. Film Lab 35 does not request your name or email from Apple. Apple and our authentication provider process the credentials needed to sign you in. Your stable account identifier lets you return to the same handle and content.

Photo Access

Film Lab 35 requests photo-library access so you can select photos for developing and save finished images. A photo leaves your device only when you deliberately post that developed photo to the Wall. Uploads are re-encoded as JPEG files, which removes the source file's EXIF metadata, including embedded GPS metadata.

In-App Purchases

Film Lab 35 offers in-app purchases through Apple's App Store. All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how Apple handles purchase data.

Service Providers

Apple provides authentication and App Store purchases. Supabase provides Community authentication, database, media storage, and server functions in a United States region. These providers process data under their own privacy and security terms. Film Lab 35 does not use third-party advertising, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking.

Retention and Deletion

Local photos and settings remain on your device until you remove them or delete the app. Community content remains while your account or post exists, unless moderation removes it sooner. When a submission is rejected, its uploaded media is removed immediately. The rejected post record remains visible only to you and moderators until you delete the post or account, or it is removed operationally. Safety reports and limited operational records may be retained when reasonably needed to prevent abuse, resolve a dispute, comply with law, or protect users.

You can delete individual posts and comments in the app. To delete the entire Community account, open Settings, then tap Delete Community Account and confirm. A completed deletion removes the handle, posts, comments, votes, reports, blocks, uploaded media, and Film Lab 35 authentication account from active systems. Your local Lightbox is not deleted. You can separately remove Film Lab 35 under Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings. If deletion is interrupted, the app reports that it did not finish so you can retry or contact support.

No Sale, Ads, or Tracking

We do not sell personal data. We do not use Community data for advertising, data-broker activity, or tracking across other companies' apps and websites. We do not run behavioral analytics in Film Lab 35.

Children's Privacy

The Community is for people age 13 and older. You must confirm that you are at least 13 before using Community actions. We do not knowingly collect Community account data from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child under 13 has created an account.

Your Choices

You can browse without an account, choose not to post, delete your own content, block users, sign out, or delete your Community account. See the Community Rules for posting standards and the content license used to display posts on the Wall.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
