Add the skills you want to get good at, give each one a daily goal, and fill its bar a little more every day. When you reach a goal, a gentle gong marks it. Your time adds up toward the bigger picture: the path to 10,000 hours of mastery.
Open the Mastery tab to see your lifetime hours for any skill, your current rank, and the next one ahead. The encouragement there changes at every hour, not only at the milestones, so there is always something new to see as your hours grow.
Lifetime hours and ranks only ever go up. If you miss a day, a streak simply starts again. There is nothing to lose and no guilt built into the app.
Mastery Timer is local-first. You can use the whole app without an account, and your skills and hours stay on your device. If you sign in, you can back up your progress and use the Friends feature, and you can delete your account at any time under Friends, then Account. See the privacy policy for details.
The optional Friends feature is a one-time unlock. It lets you add friends by invite code or username, see each other's skills and hours, send a cheer when someone puts in the work, and compare lifetime hours on a leaderboard. The rest of the app stays fully usable offline without it.
